Effective date: January 7, 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the True North Payroll SaaS (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have authority to bind your organization. You are responsible for maintaining account credentials and for all activity under your account.
The Service provides payroll calculations, remittance tracking, and reporting tools for Canadian payroll compliance (excluding Quebec). The Service is not legal, tax, or accounting advice, and you are solely responsible for verifying outputs and compliance decisions and remitting payroll amounts to government agencies.
Plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis and may include usage-based tiers. You authorize us to charge applicable fees to your selected payment method. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
You retain ownership of your data. We use your data to provide the Service and improve our offerings. Please review the Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to access other customers' data, reverse engineering, or interfering with system integrity or security.
Each party will protect the other party's confidential information and use it only for purposes of providing or using the Service.
We aim to maintain reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Support is provided according to your plan and published support channels.
The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors). Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service and other customers.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid to us for the Service during the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law rules.
For questions about these Terms, contact us through the support channels in the Service.
